Emmanuel Osei, widely known as Mennel, is a globally minded leadership strategist, development finance practitioner, Chartered Economist and international youth development expert with over fifteen years of multidisciplinary experience spanning Africa, Europe and the United States. As the Founder of MPILA (Mentoring Plus International Leadership Academy), he is driven by a lifelong commitment to shaping ethical, competent and globally conscious leaders equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Emmanuel's professional journey reflects a rare integration of policy, finance, diplomacy, academia and enterprise leadership. He has served within the United Nations system at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), including at UNDP Headquarters in Copenhagen, where he worked within the Office of Human Resources (Talent Acquisition and People Programme) and in global ICT service delivery. Across these roles, he led and supported programme budgeting, strategic planning, financial monitoring, operations management, procurement, donor reporting, and institutional reforms, contributing to improved accountability, cost recovery systems, budget frameworks and operational efficiency across regions.

At FAO's Regional Office for Africa, Emmanuel played a key role in coordinating work programme and budget processes, monitoring multi-country expenditures, strengthening financial risk management systems, and supporting the formulation of country programming frameworks aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. His contributions earned him global recognition awards for excellence, integrity and solution-oriented leadership.

Beyond multilateral institutions, Emmanuel serves as Finance, Strategy and Operations Director at Insurerity Digital Ltd., where he leads corporate financial governance, multiyear budgeting, risk mitigation, operational systems strengthening and strategic growth across African markets. His expertise bridges public sector accountability with private sector agility — a combination that strengthens his thought leadership within MPILA.

Emmanuel serves as Faculty Member and Strategic Advisor on European Affairs at the Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies (USA), where he contributes to curriculum development, mentorship, international partnerships and geopolitical analysis. He has delivered lectures and trainings in leadership development, emotional intelligence, financial management, risk management and organizational strategy across academic and professional platforms.

His international engagement includes participation and contribution to the Youth Assembly in Geneva, the AFS Youth Assembly in New York, Model ECOWAS Summit, JCI Japan Academy and several executive leadership programmes across the globe. He has facilitated youth development and leadership training in the United States, Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Middle-East. He has spoken at global forums; such as the JCI USA National Convention Special Guest Speaker and Boma Prize for Africa Keynote Speaker, on innovation, financial literacy, leadership, youth empowerment and borderless business development.

Global Civic Leadership

Emmanuel is a JCI Senator and former National President of Junior Chamber International, Ghana. He also served as JCI Africa & Middle East Development Councilor and led national initiatives in leadership development, entrepreneurship, ethical governance and peacebuilding. Under his leadership, JCI Ghana strengthened institutional visibility, strategic partnerships and youth participation nationwide.

He is also a former National President of the Young African Leaders Network (YALI Ghana), where he mobilized leaders across regions for nation building, organized peace advocacy initiatives and strengthened civic engagement platforms.

Faith, Service & Ethical Leadership

Grounded in faith and service, Emmanuel has held multiple leadership roles within the Church of Pentecost in Ghana and Denmark, overseeing youth development, financial administration and governance structures. His leadership philosophy is deeply anchored in stewardship, integrity, mentorship and generational impact.
